About Nordic Club Seoul

Nordic Club Seoul has a long history. It was established in 1969 as a women’s club, with the intention of serving as a meeting-point for people originating from one of the Nordic countries. It has since then grown and changed, and in line with this, the vision of the club has likewise been redefined.

Our vision is to create a well-established community for people of all ages and backgrounds with ties to the Nordic countries. Thus, this includes people not only originating from Nordic countries, but also people with keen interests in any of the countries. Here, the Nordic countries includes Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and the Baltic countries.

We are a non-profit, non-political and non-religious organization. We receive no support from, and we do not promote political parties or religious entities.

We are interested in two prime areas, and we exist to;

1) Become a bridge between Korea and the Nordic countries by facilitating several events throughout the year where cultural exchange is possible.
2) Support people in need, meaning that some of the profit coming from certain events will be donated to charity, determined by the board.

As a member of Nordic Club Seoul you’ll receive newsletters about the club’s activities, invitations to various events arranged by either Nordic Club Seoul itself or special invitations to events arranged by some of the Nordic Embassies.
